Established Franchisors

For established franchisors/licensors we help improve their programs by starting with a SWOT analysis and then teaching best practices of the industry.  This includes introducing new service and support programs as well as providing assistance to enhance the franchisor’s relationship with its franchisees. 


We have done this both with smaller groups and more established companies that have a considerable number of stores already open and operating. (see Clients)


Lando Consults assists both franchisees/licensees and franchisors/licensors in achieving their goals. 

However, in order to maintain the integrity of the relationship, we normally will not consult for both within the same company. That said, there have been some exceptions where the parent company has asked us to also assist with franchisees/licensees when they were unable to do so themselves. 


In one instance Mark was even asked to chair the client’s advisory board, which he did for three years.


We assist by providing or helping to develop:


  • SWOT analysis of the franchisor and designated franchisees
  • Business plans and budgets
  • Recommendations for the changes to Franchise/License Agreements
  • Development plans including Single-store, Multi-unit, Area Representative and Master Franchise
  • Improved prospecting protocols and promotional materials
  • Increased and improved service and support programs
  • New or improved operating manuals
  • Value-added programs designed to enhance both the franchisee and franchisor's ROI
  • Real-estate matters, including site due diligence, location approval, and lease negotiations
  • Succession planning and exit strategies
